Welcome to Day 13 of our Mindful Mornings

In today’s practice, we explore the theme of “Distraction.” Meditation teaches us that distractions are a normal part of the mind, and it’s important to notice when our mind has wandered and gently bring our attention back to the present moment. In our physical asana practice, we’ll keep things simple to accommodate the fluctuations of the mind, allowing us to be fully present and focus on the workings of our mind.

In this full body slow flow yoga practice I will help you cultivate focus and presence amidst distractions by encouraging you to notice any distractions that arise and gently redirect your attention back to the present moment. Even during balance poses, you’ll learn to find stability and inner calm, despite any external distractions. It will be useful to have two blacks handy for those wobbly moments today.

As the class progresses, you’ll explore different ways to anchor your focus and let go of the distractions that no longer serve you. Finally, we’ll wind down with a soothing relaxation pose, allowing you to fully let go of any remaining distractions and find tranquility within.

I encourage you to extend the benefits of this mindful yoga practice beyond the mat into your daily life. Cultivate mindfulness and presence amidst the distractions of the modern world.
