A short pranayama practice to soothe, yet invigorate the whole body. Nadi Shodhana, aka alternate nostril breathing, is an excellent way to calm the mind, reduce anxiety & balance the nervous system. Kapalabhati breathing, aka skull shining breath, clears the sinuses & lungs, improves circulation, & strengthens the mind & nervous system. These practices are best done with an empty stomach but can be practiced anytime to experience their benefits. Do before meditation to help focus the mind or after meditation to bring life back into the body. Practice daily for best effectiveness.
